This is Natalie Cherot writing the Ventura Peace & Justice Network newsletter this week.
We haven’t sent a newsletter in a while so here is an update of who we are, and what we do.
VENTURA COUNTY PEACE & JUSTICE NETWORK BACKGROUND
The Ventura County Peace and Justice Network was born in September of 2014, when members of several organizations agreed on how great it would be if the progressive community in Ventura County could network better. One way we thought we could facilitate such a process was to create a calendar of events. Our hope is that the Solidarity Ventura County calendar makes it easier for people and organizations to support each other in the great work they are doing.
This week I cover a functional features of our calendar, some local environmental justice news, and fun events.
I am pleased to announce the calendar is back up and updated multiple times a week.
Find the calendar here.
If you don’t see your event, here is directions of how to add it here
If you organize your life by your Google Calendar. scroll to the bottom of the event you want to attend, and click on the “+ Google Calendar” button.
The first Thursday of every month is Climate Hub, a coalition of environmental groups. It meets at the Unitarian Church in Ventura.
The first Sunday of every month is free admission at the Ventura County Museum. You likely be pleased with the new changes and exhibits at the museum.
