December 18 to 22 @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Ventura County has opened a fire recovery information center in Ojai. The recovery center, located in trailers across the street from Ojai City Hall, will provide information on debris removal and permitting from the Resource Management Agency, applications for public assistance, housing and/or rental assistance from the Human Services Agency and health education and counseling resources from the Health Care Agency. The center will be open Dec. 18 to Dec. 22 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additional county services may be added later and days may be extended.

The Kid’s Garden Brigade at Restore Ventura teaches children how to grow their own foods and raise chickens. It is a delight to visit and support. Monday is the kid’s program, Wednesday is the all girls Junior High free after school Urban Farming program, and the Work Party & Veggie Swap. It’s finally here! A place for LGBTQ+ adults to meet, connect, and thrive with others in our community. This meeting is: 21+ For making connections and building community To learn, share, grow, heal, and have fun A safe space to relax and let your authentic self free Not for networking Not for hookups A drug and alcohol free zone A 45 free zone There are two separate back to back events, come to one or both: 6:00 – 6:45: Spiritual Healing Session with Crystal Star ($10)* 7:00 – 8:00: Community meeting.

Grab a lunch and head on over to the Museum on Thursdays between 11:30 and 1:30 for music and free entry to the galleries. Enjoy your lunch break in one of our colorful patio chairs while you listen to local musicians, then take a stroll through the galleries. Entrance is free. Feel free to tip the musicians! Peirano’s Market and deli will offer discount for museum members and new visitors for the Munch events.

FFLUID (formerly Simi Valley chapter of PFLAG) is dedicated to offering “streams” of unconditional love, heartfelt support and quality resources to members of the LGBTQ+ community, their families and friends.

APOC OXNARD PRESENTS Holiday toy drive for the youth of south ox Sordo Y más TBA ALL AGES FREE ENTRANCE with a toy of $10 value $7 at the door with no toy Take a break from inhaling toxic fumes and come support our toy drive. All toys and funds collected will go to a free event where gifts will be distributed to the community at Fresh Mex. Hosted by Dani Malachika.

Ventura County Legal Aid, Inc. is here to help on the first and third Tuesdays of the month 4 to 7 p.m.at the Ventura County Law Library. Last walk-ins accepted at 6:15. Attorneys are available during these times on a first-come, first-served basis, to provide free legal advice to those who qualify based on income.

Our Stories Matter Discussion Series Kick-Off December 6, 2017 at 5:30pm. In response to the disturbing increase in fascist and white supremacist activity and related militia presence locally, nationally, and internationally, the Centers for Multicultural Engagement (CME) and Integrative Studies (CIS) are co-sponsoring a monthly speaker/discussion series entitled Our Stories Matter.

Mission of the Ventura Peace and Justice Network Calendar
The Solidarity Ventura County Calendar publicizes critical information on actions, events, and group meetings. It is a progressive grassroots tool to complement local direct action. Our organization will facilitate communication and connection between activists, interested community members, and local organizations; and will become an informed and mobilized county-wide base, ready to stand by our community.
