Community Roots Garden is a one acre garden at the North Oxnard United Methodist Church. We are dedicated to growing a community of gardens that build food security and empower our community. Our garden volunteers share land, labor, and harvest with one another and those in need. We offer hands-on gardening experience, workshops, resources, tours, and service opportunities to volunteers, community groups, youth, and those starting gardens in their own neighborhoods. Make a Difference Day

Veterans for Peace Ventura County, Monthly Meeting

Veterans for Peace is an educational and humanitarian non-profit organization dedicated to the abolishment of war.  The Ventura County Chapter (VCVFP, chapter 112) was founded in August 2004. Chapter 112 has as a primary project the formidable educational task of introducing and disclosing military alternatives to local area high school youth. The chapter proudly funds annual high school scholarships to participating seniors.
