Diversity Collective is proud to announce the launch of Diversity Toastmasters Club starting April 3rd, 6:00 PM here at the Community Resource Center.
Join us friends! Diversity Toastmaster is a LGBTQ+ friendly place to practice and perfect your public speaking, presentation skills, leadership development, and meeting management training. All are welcome. Looking forward to seeing you there.
Telling our stories is important to who we are as a community, and the continued championing our collective civil rights and increased visibility. Come learn how to successfully share your authentic story. Eager to hear yours! 🙂
Public presentation and speaking skills are an important aspect of leadership and social accomplishment. Anyone with anything important to say will need to be able to say it powerfully and effectively in public at some point in their career and Toastmasters is here to help. Toastmasters provides an encouraging, positive, and inclusive environment where people work together to practice and develop communication and leadership skills resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. If there was ever a time the world needed to hear our stories – it is now!
Toastmasters International is a 93-year-old institution that is dedicated to helping people improve their communication, public speaking, and leadership skills through education, training, and practice. With nearly 400,000 members in more than 140 countries around the world. By regularly giving speeches, gaining feedback, leading teams and guiding others to achieve their goals in a supportive atmosphere, leaders emerge from the Toastmasters program. Every Toastmasters journey begins with a single speech. During their journey, they learn to tell their stories. They listen and answer. They plan and lead. They give feedback—and accept it. Through our community of learners, they find their path to leadership.
Join us for this special guest event, April 3rd and find out more about how Toastmasters has helped millions of people around the world in becoming competent public speakers and confident leaders. We will have a special guest speaker, the current reigning District Speech Contest Champion, Melody Barooni, who will help kick off this first meeting.
Diversity Toastmasters will meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday nights each month from 6pm – 8pm beginning April 3rd. There is no charge for guests who attend a Toastmasters meeting.
Diversity Toastmasters is an inclusive and welcoming environment dedicated to serving the LGBTQ+ community and allies.
