Pesticide Meeting

February 15 @ 6:30 pm

Ventura County uses the most pesticides per square mile of any other County in California This is very disturbing, knowing that we have the tools and resources in place to curb the insane amounts of pesticides being applied.

We’ll be discussing some ways to make reform happen with people power!

We will be kicking off our meeting with a presentation by Lideres Campesinas!

Followed by a discussion of:

*The harms toxic pesticides have on our environment and community

**Utilizing alternatives to transition away from toxic chemicals

***How we can communicate our demands and move our elected officials

Organized by Adam Vega

Adam joins us as part of a year-long residential internship program hosted by The Abundant Table. He’ll work with Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy (CAUSE) as part of their local organizing efforts in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.
